This picture, taken from the end of the pier looking back at downtown Chicago, reveals an optical illusion where the Sears Tower is actually not as tall as the white building in the foreground. Rather than walking around the end of the pier and up the other side, we turned around and headed back. Now I will wonder what the other side of the pier looks like and if we missed anything of importance. We had to save something for our next visit.
