Centennial Fountain arches a cannon of water spray over the Chicago river from 10 a.m. to midnight May 1 to October 1. We could view this tremendous event directly from our hotel room. On this day, we caught a lone boat waiting for the spray to end to continue its journey up the river. We had a great view of the Navy Pier, another of Chicago's attractions, from our hotel room. You will see more of Navy Pier later.
